  • What are we up to?

A research project to learn about education innovations around the globe.

The #EdtechTours are initiatives promoting global perspectives on the future of education & learning fuelled by local insights, bringing together major sectorial stakeholders beyond functional and geographical boundaries, learning from best practices in education innovation, mapping education innovation clusters and creating open-source resources for a refined understanding of the global ecosystem.

  • Areas of study

We address, among others, the issues of...

    Emerging countries

What type of frugal innovation models exist in countries with low internet penetration? What is possible with basic technological tools?

    Data

Data can have super powers to enhance learning. Adaptive learning technologies use data to personalize learning paths: but is this enough? and what about privacy issues?

    Scaling

How to scale innovation? Not an easy question. We look at non-profit VS venture-funded startup companies, sustainability models and venture-scale markets

    Lifelong Learning

The challenge of lifelong learning in the professional world is big. Which tools, pedagogies can be used to create a learning culture inside an organization?

    Export

How do purchasing systems work for education technology products and services and how can companies outside of the region gain entry?

    Policy

What are governments' education technology policies, spending trends and which technologies are gaining traction in schools and universities?

  • Where have we been?

We explored 15 countries up until now
